![]() | Â Rocket League | Rating: 9/10 | |
|  What happens when you combine soccer with cars? Rocket League. There isn't really a genre for this game, it combines two completely different games, soccer, and racing. It is mayhem. You can play single-player against Ai in season mode or single to multiplayer online in a 1v1 to 4v4 game. Unlock vehicle skins that don't affect gameplay (thankfully) and customize your different cars with wacky toppers, paintjobs, and rocket trails. (More info: http://www.rocketleaguegame.com) | |||
| Â Star Wars Battlefront | Rating: 8/10 | ||
|  Battle in a galaxy far, far away in Star Wars Battlefront. Fight as a rebel soldier, stormtrooper or a variety of heroes and or villains to win control of the galaxy. Centered around its multiplayer first-person shooter experience, Battlefront allows players to unlock weapons and cards for different styles of fighting. Some weapons have a quicker shot and others are meant for long-range sniping. The cards have a short cooldown but include things like grenades and bacta bombs. Multiplayer modes can have anywhere around 8, 20, and 40 player battles around several modes from Hero Hunt (1 Hero v 11 Stormtroopers/Rebels) to Supremacy (20v20 with a chance at finding hero powerup). The game does have a DLC which unlocks the Outer Rim Expansion Pack and 3 more upcoming releases for new maps and heroes. It lacks a certain element to it. With the Star Wars sequels coming out, it just doesn't have leave you with the skin-tingling sensation like the movies do. It lacks certain elements, a story and depth that would give it a higher rating. I would definitely recommend it though. It is a fantastic shooter! Did we mention you can fly TIE Fighters and X-Wings? (More information can be found at http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront) | |||
| Â Overwatch | Rating: 9/10 | ||
|  Developed by Blizzard Entertainment, this Multiplayer, first-person shooter game is great! You choose from a pool of 21 different heroes in four areas (Offense, Defense, Tank, and Support). The great thing about this game is that there is no classes, a new player has the same chance as a seasoned player. You can unlock cool skins and voice lines that contribute to some of the in-game fun. The close-quarters combat/mayhem is fantastic. The game does feel a little incomplete however. There are only about 12 small maps to fight for objectives and escort/defend a payload, and the lack of in-game campaign or story line and some obviously left-incomplete game modes are little problem compared to the great experience that is Overwatch: Origins Edition.
